On November 26, the UK-China Health and Economy Partnership Project, co-organized by Shandong University, Fudan University, University of Bournemouth, University of York and University of East Anglia, was formally launched in Jinan.
This project aims to develop a long-term partnership between researchers from the two countries, promoting the long-term collaboration in pharmacoeconomics by knowledge innovation.
During the launch ceremony, Darrin Baines, Professor of health economics at BU and Sun Qiang, Head of the School of Healthcare Management, SDU, gave detailed introductions to the project. Wang Fengshan, Associate Dean of Cheeloo College of Medicine, SDU, affirmed the importance of pharmacoeconomics in the field of healthcare, hoping that the collaboration and communication between UK and China would be enhanced. Besides, Representatives from funding organizations including Glaxosmithkline, British Council and Fudan University, expressed their supports and expectations towards the UK-China Health and Economy Partnership respectively.
Researchers from Cheeloo College of Medicine of SDU, British Council, University of Bournemouth, University of York, University of East Anglia, and domestic universities and research institutes attended the launch event.
After the ceremony, delegates will take part in a five-day workshop on theories and methodology of pharmacoeconomics.
