The 3rd China-Korea Marine Energy Workshop was held in Qingdao from October 9 to 12. Focusing on the latest research results and technological achievements in the field of marine energy and explored the new trend of future marine energy development, more than 70 attendees from Chinese and Korean universities and institutions participated in the academic exchanges.
During the meeting, experts from China and South Korea reported on wave energy, temperature-difference energy, tidal current energy and tidal energy. They also introduced the latest research in marine energy and their respective research plans, followed by in-depth discussions and exchanges. The attendees then visited SDU's mini-MECS device, the temperature-difference energy laboratory of the MNR First Institute of Oceanography, and the Pilot National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology(Qingdao) to discuss relevant technological issues.
The Workshop was sponsored by Shandong University and co-sponsored by the First Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) of China, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, the China-Korea Joint Ocean Research Center, the National Ocean Technology Center, the Ocean Academy of Zhejiang University, the Ocean University of China, the Pilot National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology(Qingdao), and the Ocean Energy Committee of China Renewable Energy Society.
