The seminar will focus on the on the use of electrical and electromagnetic geophysical methods for characterizing groundwater resources, in terms of aquifer structure, water content/quality and hydraulic properties. In particular, the permeability estimation through time-domain induced polarization and the towed Tem (tTem) electromagnetic system will be presented.
Prof.Gianluca Fiandacacompleted his Ph.D. from the University of Palermo, Italy in 2007. He is currently a professor of the department of Geoscience at the Aarhus University in Denmark. His main research interests include geophysical and electrical methods, electromagnetic applications in the field of water resources, and research and development of geophysical efficient calculation methods.
