Recently, Lee Myoung Su, member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, led a delegation from the South Korean Youth Invention Association to SDU. Fang Hongjian, the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of SDU, met with the 25 members of the delegation.
During the meeting, Fang introduced some background information, development strategies and goals of SDU as well as the relationship between SDU and South Korea. He also expressed optimism for the future of their relationship especially in the fields of invention and student exchange. Lee said that Shandong province and South Korea have had a close relationship, with Shandong University playing a significant role in the educational communication between the two countries. He hopes to continue to exert a positive influence on the cooperation with SDU. Both sides also discussed the affairs of establishing an alumni association in South Korea. The head of the SDU International Affairs Department also attended the meeting.
The delegation also paid a visit to the Chinese Culture Experience Hall of Shandong University after the meeting.
