Discovering SDU

When it comes to discovering a place it could be done in minutes or ages for a room or a pyramid respectively. On the contrary, an institute is a completely different world, where discoveries are made round the clock. My discoveries of SDU are among countless discovered and countless more to come. It's a great deal of honor to share what I have discovered here at SDU.

First talking about the largest scale discoveries, I can say without a doubt that my teachers here are an institute in themselves. I find it quite mesmerizing that a university like SDU has such a humongous treasure of "universities". One can pick any school of SDU and can find that school indeed has many "universities" making it priceless asset to SDU itself. This to me is an astonishing fact. I take this chance to say thanks to my teachers each and every one of them, especially my PhD mentor, Prof. Li HX. Without my teachers I wouldn't even be here availing this chance.

While in SDU I have been through a lot of stuff which I find it wonderful and memorable for lifetime. Here I would like to share my experience. Medicine is a field which needs tireless efforts by all the scientists and doctors to bring forth a treatment which is suitable for humankind and holds the most benefits with lesser side effects among contenders. There are numerous discoveries made every day all over the world in the field of medicine, some are beneficial, others are not, but positive or negative it doesn't stop us from continuing to achieve better and better. The field of Medicine is vast like universe, of these vast lands, cardiology is the one which holds the number one position for deaths worldwide. A lot of work is being done in this field to improve these numbers.

I had the opportunity to take part in such an effort, where animal phase trials were done. This phase is most important after establishing a treatment option. As if the animal phase trials were unsuccessful the treatment in test will not make it for human phase.

On such a note our team started heart operations for animals where all precautions and plans were made to complete the operation successfully. The facility for animal phase trials was well equipped yet extra caution was taken while operating on animals. Being doctors, having experience in cardiac surgery didn't mean it was easy for us. We held meetings and educational sessions among our team to get familiar with animal subjects and to be aware of differences.

We were able to successfully complete the animal phase trials. And the results acquisition was also very promising. This gave us all a feeling of unexplainable relief and joy to be able to rid humankind of a burden. We are looking forward for Human Clinical trials. A day when we can finally bring the new treatment for betterment of human beings.
