On November 5, 2016, the annual autumn excursion to Red Leaves Canyon, a famous tourist sight in Jinan, was held by the International Affairs Department and the Student's International Communication Association (SICA). The international students and their Chinese buddies, also SICA members, enjoyed a great time.

Gathered at LiuYuan gate at 8 am,theparticipants set out by bus and were heartened by the pre-designed warm up games. All were embraced by the beautiful fall scenery the Canyon presented.

The trip started with a visit of a number of famous attractions, includingtheValley of Xuanqiu,theTian Qu Garden,thePenthouseApartment and so on. In the afternoon, students went to the mysterious Shambhala and played the "Hugging Game" there, the punishment of which was to give a talent show, adding much excitement to the atmosphere together with the singing "The Bygone Years" and "A Little Happiness."So attracting the melodies were that such experience is unforgettable. After taking pictures atShambhala, the ever-closer buddies kept each others’ contact information and expected another trip.

The annual autumn excursionto Red Leaves Canyon is a traditional activity for SDU international students and their SICA buddies to further deepen friendship. It also provides the students with an opportunity to have a closer touch of the natural spots in Jinan.
