Shandong University, also known as SDU, held a choir competition at its three campuses in Jinan, Weihai and Qingdao in East China's Shandong province on June 28-29, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

More than 3,100 teaching and medical staff in 61 teams participated in the competition.
A total of 13 choirs made it to the finals, following earlier qualifying rounds.
In the wake of fierce competition, three teams – from the High School Affiliated to Shandong University, the Second Hospital of Shandong University and the Qilu Hospital of Shandong University – won first prizes.
In addition, four second prizes, six third prizes and one special invited performance prize were also awarded.
On top of the choir competition, other events – such as a CPC Q&A, football match and painting and calligraphy exhibition – were also held.
