Shandong University, also known as SDU – and located in East China's Shandong province – recently showcased its creative admissions package which it prepared for its incoming students.

This year's admissions letter is designed in the form of a brochure. The brochure features a hand-painted map of the university. If students scan the QR code at the upper left, they can also view information about all the campuses of SDU online.

This year is the 120th anniversary of SDU. When the anniversary stamps are issued, first years can also get them by presenting their admission letters.

In addition to the admissions letter, first years at SDU will receive a gift parcel containing a puzzle that depicts the university's landmark buildings. There are eight different patterns in the puzzle and they are being given out randomly, just like a mystery box. Each puzzle is made up of 120 pieces, representing the 120 years of SDU's history.
