Shandong University is a key comprehensive university under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education. As a university with a long history, strong academic strengths and global reputation, Shandong University has been selected as a "Double First Class University" (Class A), an initiative designed by the Chinese Ministry of Education that aims to develop elite Chinese universities and their departments into world-class institutions by the end of 2050.
Shandong University comprises 8 campuses in Jinan, Weihai and Qingdao, collectively covering an area of over 533 hectares. The past several years have witnessed a significant rise in the educational and research quality at SDU, resulting in a steady growth in its international influence. Post-doctoral Fellowships Available
01 Special-Funded Fellowship
This fellowship is specially designed to identify, cultivate and promote promising young scholars early in their careers. Fellows should have strong academic backgrounds and have made a significant contribution to their own research field.
This fellowship funds up to 80 fellows.
02 Young-Scholar Fellowship
Fellows are selected from among young academics who are committed to pursuing publishable research and are likely to make a significant contribution to their own research field.
This fellowship funds up to 150 fellows.
03 Special-Program Fellowship
Eligibility
Applicants should be under the age of 35 and demonstrate strong academic and research abilities and abide by academic ethics.
Applicants must be either in the final year of their PhD studies or up to 3 years of receiving a doctoral degree from a top university or research institution.
The research project for a post-doctoral fellowship should be cutting-edge, innovative and feasible.
Applicants are expected to devote at least 21 months to their postdoctoral research at Shandong University.
